Alcohol Use Disorders Webinar
On June 23, 2015, the Progress in Mind resource centre initiated a 1-hour webinar with Wim van den Brink, Professor of Psychiatry and Addiction at the Academic Medical Centre of the University of Amsterdam, and Steve Brinksman, GP and Clinical Lead for the Substance Misuse Management in General Practice network.
The webinar consists of 3 sessions, each concentrating on a unique aspect of alcohol use disorders:
- The neurobiology of the addicted brain.
- The symptoms and signs of alcohol use disorders, including common comorbid diseases such as hypertension and depression.
- A focus on treatment, investigating how to design treatment goals that meet the individual patient's needs and the rationale behind the available treatment options.
The European Accreditation Committee in CNS (EACIC) has granted 1 CME credit to this session.
